The digital solutions catalogue is in beta. Help us improve and build on it by completing our short feedback form.

About the digital solutions catalogue

Discover and adopt digital solutions relevant to your clinical practice by searching our curated catalogue. Exclusive to RCPCH members.

The digital solutions catalogue aims to promote digital ways of working, build digital capabilities and reduce barriers to accessing technologies in healthcare. It was launched in January 2026.

What is in the catalogue?

As an RCPCH member, you can use the catalogue to find digital health solutions, which were provided by RCPCH members who completed our digital solutions survey. The listed solutions are available on the UK market and have different functions focusing on improving healthcare delivery, patient outcomes or operational efficiency.

Examples include but are not limited to:

  • Clinical decision support tools
  • Patient engagement apps
  • Remote monitoring platforms
  • Workflow automation systems

The solutions in the catalogue may not yet be fully deployed but could be in active use within NHS or healthcare settings, piloted with positive results or ready for wider adoption. The list does not include solutions that are still in development or trial phases.

The catalogue is in beta version, with an initial set of solutions - see below on how you can contribute! It is not exhaustive. It is updated periodically through horizon scanning and member feedback.

Disclaimer: Being listed in the DSC does not constitute endorsement or validation of a solution by the College. Please ensure to perform your own validation checks for solutions you want to consider adopting. See digital solutions catalogue scope

How can I search the catalogue?

You can browse, search or select filters to find digital health solutions relevant to you and your service. You'll need to log in to your RCPCH account with your membership number.

Log in to search the catalogue

Each entry in the catalogue includes:

  • Solution name and description
  • Function and purpose
  • Organisation/provider details
  • Intended audience (clinician, patient or both)
  • Access type (free, subscription-based, etc.)
  • Further information link

We are also continuing to develop the catalogue. This includes filters for paediatric specialty and medical condition, and an evidence summary with scientific and case literature for each solution.

How can I access the catalogue if I'm not a member?

The catalogue is exclusive to RCPCH members. We have a range of membership types open to both paediatricians and other child health professionals. See how you can join us.

How can I help keep the catalogue up to date?

We strongly encourage you to contribute to the catalogue improvements. There are two ways you can do this.

  • Share your feedback on a listed solution – Each entry has a feedback box. Tell us about your experience so we can help refine its details.
  • Submit a new solution – If you use and recommend a digital health solution that is not in the DSC, let us know. If it meets our criteria, we’ll review and add it to the DSC.

We also do our own horizon scanning to identify new digital solutions, update existing entries and remove entries that are no longer on the UK market or no longer have technical support.

Why have you produced the catalogue?

Digital transformation is reshaping the NHS in the UK and health services worldwide. Digital solutions can enhance communication between healthcare professionals and patients, streamline administrative tasks and use data to support accurate decision-making.

We know that healthcare organisations need a resource to find solutions suited to their needs.

The Digital Solutions Catalogue is the first resource on this Digital Health Hub.

How did you develop it?

We began work in late 2024.

  • Member survey: We invited members to let us know about the solutions they use and their effectiveness, as well as their familiarity with solutions and needs. We reviewed these submissions for inclusion in the DSC. See our findings from this survey on the RCPCH website
  • Directory reviews: We benchmarked against innovation platforms like Digital Health London and Life Sciences Hub Wales.
  • Scoping research: We conducted horizon scanning, regulatory database reviews (with MHRA, ORCHA, NICE) and literature searches.
  • User testing: We asked members to test the first versions of the DSC and refined its usability and content.

What if I'm not a member but want to add to the DSC?

While the DSC is exclusive to members, we welcome submissions from individuals and organisations who have developed, or use, a digital health solution relevant to paediatrics and child health.
